Scenic Cruises of Kenmare Bay

Kenmare Bay has probably the richest marine habitat in all of Western Europe Kenmare Bay is thirty miles long, twelve miles wide at its mouth and narrowing gradually as it bisects and separates the Beara and Iveragh peninsulas and their mountain ranges, the Kenmare Bay due to its shape is also known as the Kenmare River.  Kenmare bay is listed as a Special Area of Conservation on account of its rare species and habitats.

The White-tailed Sea Eagle is the fourth largest eagle in the world! Measuring up to 0.94m in length with a wingspan of up to 2.45 m (8 ft) which is the largest wingspan of any eagle, and is on average the fourth heaviest eagle in the world, the largest known specimen weighing approximately 17lb.

Seals - There are approximately 150 common or harbour seals (Phoca vitulina) in the inner bay, Grey seals (Halichoerus grypus) are also seen from time to time. The common seal pups are born during late June and July and this is without doubt the most exciting time
